24A ACCRINGTON (Diesel railcar depot)
The shed is on the south side of the line between Accrington and Church and Oswaldtwistle Stations. The yard is visible from the line.

From Accrington Station
Go straight ahead outside Accrington Station along the approach road. Turn left into Eagle Street, left into Blackburn Road, left into Willows Lane, and right into Charter Street. The shed entrance is on the right-hand side. Walking time 15 minutes.

From Church and Oswaldtwistle Station
Turn right outside Church and Oswaldtwistle Station, along Market Street and right into Blackburn Road. Turn right into Lonsdale Street and left into Charter Street. The shed entrance is on the left-hand side. Walking time 10 minutes.
24B ROSE GROVE
The shed is on the north side of the line west of the station. The yard is visible from the line.

Turn right outside the station and first left along Lower Rosegrove Lane (parallel with the railway). The shed entrance is on the left-hand side. Walking time less than 5 minutes.
24C LOSTOCK HALL
The shed is at the south side of Lostock Hall Station. The yard is visible from the line.

The shed entrance is a few yards south of the station entrance on the same side of Watkin Lane. Walking time less than 5 minutes.
24D LOWER DARWEN
The shed is on the west side of the Darwen line 1½ miles south of Blackburn Station. The yard is visible from the line.

Cross the yard outside Blackburn Station into Jubilee Street. Turn left into Darwen Street and fork right under the railway bridge into Great Bolton Street. Continue along Bolton Road for about 13 miles and turn left along a footpath opposite the Fernhurst Hotel. This leads across some fields and up a steep bank to the shed. Walking time 45 minutes.

The Fernhurst Hotel is on the main Blackburn to Darwen Road (A666) which carries a frequent bus service.
24E BLACKPOOL
Central Shed
The shed is on the east side of the line south of Blackpool Central Station. The yard is visible from the line.

Turn left outside the Central Station, and left again along the Promenade. After going some distance turn left into Rigby Road. The shed entrance is on the right-hand side, just past the railway over-bridge. Walking time 20 minutes.

Board a southbound tram on The Promenade, and alight at Rigby Road. (The stop is known as the Manchester Hotel.)

North Shed
The shed is on the north side of the line east of Blackpool North Station. The shed yard is not visible from the line.

Turn right outside Blackpool North Station into Dickson Road and first right into Queen Street. Turn left into High Street and right into Pleasant Street. Bear left at the end of this street and turn right into Ashburton Road. A path runs between two blocks of houses on the right-hand side of this road to the shed (about 100 yards from the turning). Walking time 10 minutes.
24F FLEETWOOD
The shed is on the west side of the line about a mile south of the station. The yard is partially visible from the line.

Turn left outside the station along Queen's Terrace, and continue into Dock Street. Turn right into Station Road and left into Radcliffe Road. The shed entrance is on the left-hand side some distance further on (almost opposite Heathfield Road). Walking time 25 minutes.

Tram services operate from Queen's Terrace, Fleetwood to Blackpool, and pass the shed entrance.
24G SKIPTON
The shed is on the south side of the main line west of the station. The yard is visible from the line.

Turn left outside the station. Proceed up the slope (Carleton New Road) on the right-hand side of the main road, and turn left over the railway bridge. Almost immediately after crossing the railway turn right into a lane running parallel with the line. The shed entrance is on the right-hand side. Walking time 10 minutes.
24H HELLIFIELD
The shed is on the north side of the line at the west end of the station. The yard is visible from the line.

A boarded crossing runs from the station platforms to the shed.
24J LANCASTER (GREEN AYRE)
The shed is on the east side of the line south of Lancaster Green Ayre Station. The yard is visible from the line.

From Lancaster Green Ayre Station
Go straight ahead outside the station along the approach road. Turn right into Parliament Street and bear right into Cable Street. The shed entrance is on the right-hand side. Walking time 5 minutes.

From Lancaster Castle Station
Turn sharp left outside the station into Station Road. Turn left at the end into Meeting House Lane, continue into Market Street and turn left into Cheapside, continuing into North Road. Turn sharp left into Cable Street and the shed entrance is on the right-hand side. Walking time 15 minutes.
24L CARNFORTH
The shed is on the west side of the Barrow line north-west of the station. The yard is visible from the line.

Turn left outside the station into Warton Road, and after about 150 yards left again over a footbridge. This leads to the shed. Walking time 5 minutes.
