Board a No. 2 or 30 (Aintree) bus and alight at Helsby Road. These services start from the Pier Head, No. 2 travelling via Water Street, Dale Street and Byrom Street and No. 30 via James Street, Lord Street, Church Street and Lime Street. Walk along Helsby Road and continue along a cinder path over one railway bridge and under another. This leads to the shed.
City Centre to Allerton
Board a No. 86 (Garston Circular via Penny Lane) bus and alight at the shed entrance in Woolton Road. This is between the ferro-concrete works and the Allerton Arms Hotel, just north of Allerton (for Garston and Woolton) Station. The bus starts from the Pier Head and travels along Lord Street, Church Street, Ranelagh Street and Renshaw Street.
City Centre to Bank Hall
Board a No. 23, 24 or 28 (Seaforth or Netherton) bus outside Lime Street Station and alight at Bank Hall Station. The shed entrance is a door in the wall in Stanley Road opposite Bank Hall Street.
City Centre to Edge Hill
Board a No. 4 (Woolton), 4B (Penny Lane), 79C (Lee Park) or 79D (Lee Park) bus and alight at Tiverton Street. Walk along Tiverton Street and a cinder path leads from the end, through atunnel to the shed. Bus No. 4 starts from South Castle Street and operates via Castle Street, Dale Street, William Brown Street and London Road. Services Nos. 4B and 79C operate from the Pier Head via Lord Street, Church Street and Ranelagh Street. Route No. 79D travels along Water Street, Dale Street and William Brown Street.
City Centre to Speke Junction
Board a No. 82 (Speke Western Avenue), a No. 82C (Speke Eastern Avenue) or a No. 86 or 87 (Garston Circular) bus and alight at the corner of Horrocks Avenue and Speke Road. Continue along Speke Road, crossing the railway bridge and turn first left into Vineyard Street. Proceed under the railway and a broad cinder path leads from the right-hand side to the shed. The bus routes start from the Pier Head and travel along Lord Street, Church Street, Ranelagh Street and Renshaw Street.
City Centre to Walton
Board a No. 2 (Aintree), 22 (Fazakerley), 30 (Aintree), 92 (Page Moss), 92A (Kirkby), or 93 (Kirkby) bus and alight at Queens Drive. All these services start from the Pier Head, No. 2 travels via Water Street, Dale Street and Byrom Street, No. 30 via James Street, Lord Street, Church Street and Lime Street and Nos. 22, 92, 92A and 93 via Chapel Street and Tithebarn Street. A short cinder path leads to Walton—on-the-Hill Station (closed) from the right-hand side of Rice Lane, just past Queens Drive. Entrance to the shed is effected from the north end of the station platform.

City Centre to Bank Hall
Proceed to Bank Hall as stated above.
Bank Hall to Walton
Turn right outside the shed and walk along Stanley Road to the corner of Balliol Road. Board a No. 81 or 8lD (Speke) bus at this point and alight at Rice Lane. The entrance to Walton-on-the-Hill Station (closed) is on the right-hand side of Rice Lane a few yards further on. Entrance to the shed is effected from the station.
Alternative route:
Board a City bound 23, 24 or 28 bus outside the shed and alight at the junction of Stanley Road, Scotland Road and Kirkdale Road (Rotunda). At this point a board No. 2, 22, 30, 92 or 93 bus to Queen’s Drive. The entrance to the station is on the right-hand side a few yards further on.
Walton to Aintree
Return to Rice Lane, board a No. 2 or 30 (Aintree) bus and alight at Helsby Road. Walk along this road and a path leads from the end to the shed.
Aintree to Edge Hill
Return to Warbeck Moor (the main road) and board a city-bound No. 2 or 30 bus. Alight at the junction of Byrom Street and Dale Street in the case of route No. 2 and at the end of Lime Street in the case of No. 30. Board a No. 4 (Woolton) bus in Dale Street or London Road and alight at Tiverton Street. A tunnel leads from the end of this road to the shed.
Edge Hill to Allerton
Return to the end of Tiverton Street, board a No. 4 (Woolton) or 4B (Penny Lane) bus and alight at Penny Lane. Change on to a No. 86A or 87 (Garston) bus and alight at the shed entrance between the ferro—concrete works and the Allerton Arms Hotel in Woolton Road.
Allerton to Speke Junction
Board a No. 86A or 87 (Garston) bus in Woolton Road and alight at the corner of Horrocks Avenue and Speke Road. Continue along Speke Road over the railway bridge and turn first left into Vineyard Street. Proceed under the railway and a broad cinder path leads from the right hand side to the shed.
Speke Junction to Birkenhead
Return to the corner of Horrocks Avenue and Speke Road, and board any bus labelled Pier Head. (Several routes are operated.) Alight at Pier Head and walk a short distance along Mann Island continuing along James Street to James Street Station.
Board a Rock Ferry-bound electric train at this station and alight at Birkenhead Central Station. Turn left outside the station into Argyle Street South and left again into Mollington. Street. The shed entrance is at the end of this cul-de-sac.
Birkenhead to Bidston
Return to Birkenhead Central Station and board a Liverpool-bound train. Change at Hamilton Square Station to a West Kirby or New Brighton train and alight at Birkenhead North Station. Turn right outside the station into Station Road, and first right again into Wallasey Bridge Road. A path leads to the shed from the left-hand side just before the railway over-bridge.
Bidston to the Centre of Liverpool
Return to Birkenhead North Station, from where a frequent service of electric trains runs to Liverpool Central Low Level and James Street Station.
