Went to post a parcel yesterday only to discover that the Post Office has closed down! No notice, but brown paper inside the windows and the post box painted black instead of red. Bit of a shock, really, because I’d heard nothing about the closure. The nearest ones now are Fox Hill, Chape;town, and Parson Cross…
Just noticed that it’s up for sale on Rightmove (for £24,950!?), so I suppose there’s some hope that it can be put back in service.
This, on top of our bus service, which was reduced in September from every 30 minutes to every hour, and the closure of The Cow & Calf pub, is just another knock for Greno. Still a great place to live, but becoming more isolated and service-starved.
