Updated from original of 26th April 2026 to use my own pic rather than the weird Gemini one… The red lines are in force beyond Devil’s Arse on both sides of the road, with some stretches open to allow paid parking by phone (the main car park still takes coins).
Looks like action is finally being taken to address the parking nightmares in areas to the west of Castleton, according to Derbyshire Council, and a double-red era will shortly begin.
Not exactly sure where all the customary peak period visitors are expected to park, considering how quickly the official main car park gets full, but, hopefully, it’s a step towards ending the current chaos and madness.
