Don’t really use a VPN very often, and PIA has been quite good enough. But it’ll soon be time to renew the PIA subscription after 3 years, so I had a random think. I’ve been more than happy with Proton Mail, and not had a single piece of spam in all the months I’ve been using it. So, I’ve decided to bolt on Proton VPN to my mail subscription for a year, and see how it goes in comparison. Yes, it’s a fair bit more expensive, but it works out at 8 euros a month for mail + VPN + 500GB of storage, which is not extortionate.
Had a play with it for a bit, and it does seem faster than PIA. Plus, the UI is far better and easer to navigate. Will see how it goes over time, as I’ll probably try running it right from boot up for a few days.
