Unable to connect to my own website or Cpanel this morning, even though checkers show that both are up, so looks like a routing issue – which a traceroute confirmed: packets go from my ISP (Origin Broadband) to some outfit called Call27 (who don’t even have a working website yet…), and then timeout.
Of course, getting first-level ISP support to understand the issue is like pulling teeth, and once he’d exhausted his script options and my patience, he just passed it on to second-level, with a 24-48 hour response…
Of course further, by the time I’d finished writing this, the problem had been sorted and no routing is being done via Call27 – not that Origin have bothered to tell me..
