I was thinking, with all my flights, including several trips to east Asia and back, I might have done the equivalent of flyng to the moon… So I found a site that calculates standard flight distances between airports. I can remember most of the sectors involved, except for one bit of fuzziness regarding Hong Kong: I’m sure I’ve transited there twice, once with BA and a vague memory of possibly a Cathay Pacific flight through there. Whatever, even allowing for 1,000 miles either way, the figure is at most a disappointing 180,00 miles, just three-quarters of the way… Buggered if I’m going to try clocking up another 60,000 miles!
