Return along the footpath to the end of Ravenswood Road, and turn left along Railway Road. Turn left again at the end into Warwick Road North, and turn right at the end into Trafford Park Road. Turn left at the end into Trafford Road. Board a Salford Corporation northbound No. 2, 58, 70, 71 or 84 bus at this point, and alight at Eccles New Road. Board an outward-bound Salford Corporation No. 67 (Peel Green) bus at this point, and alight at Franklin Street (Patricroft). Walk to the top of this street, and turn left into Hampden Grove. A footbridge leads to the shed from the right-hand side of this road.
Patricroft to Agecroft
Leave the shed by the exit into Landsowne Road, and turn right along this road. Turn left at the end into Monton Road. Board a Salford Corporation No. 27 bus at this point, and alight at Bank Lane (off Bolton Road). Walk to the bottom of Bank Lane, passing under the railway, and turn right along a rough track. A cinder path leads from the right-hand side to the shed.
Agecroft to Newton Heath
Return to Bolton Road at the top of Bank Lane. Board a city-bound No. 27, 50, 57 or 77 bus and alight at the city terminus. Then proceed to Newton Heath as stated above.
Newton Heath to Gorton Works
Return to Oldham Road, board any city—bound bus, and alight at Hulme Hall Lane (Miles Platting). Board a south-bound No. 53 (Old Trafford) bus, and alight at Ashton Old Road. Board an outward—bound No. 218 (Stalybridge) or 219 (Ashton) trolleybus at this point and alight at Cantwell Street (formerly Cornwall Street). Walk along this street, and the entrance to the works is on the right-hand side.
Gorton Works to Gorton Shed
Turn right outside the works into Cantwell Street, cross the railway, and turn right into Railway Street. Turn right just before the end into a footbridge that leads over the railway into Widnes Street. The shed entrance is on the left-hand side afew yards further on.
Note.—If it is desired to proceed direct from Newton Heath to Gorton shed, alight from the trolleybus at Widnes Street instead of Cantwell Street. The shed entrance will then be on the right-hand side just before the end of Widnes Street.
Gorton Shed to Longsight
Return to Ashton Old Road, and board a city-bound No. 218 or 2l9 trolleybus. Alight at Pottery Lane and board a No. 53 (Old Trafford) bus, alighting at Redgate Lane. Proceed along this road, and a cinder path leads to the shed from the left-hand side about ¼ mile further on.
Longsight to Reddish
Turn left outside the shed into Redgate Lane, and cross Hyde Road into Cromwell Street. At the end of this street board an outward-bound No. 109 (Reddish) bus. Alight at Reddish North Station and proceed along Station Road. Cross the railway, and turn right immediately along a cinder path. The shed entrance is on the right—hand side.
Reddish to Stockport (Edgeley)
Return to Gorton Road (Reddish North Station) and board a Stockport Corporation No. 17 bus, alighting at the terminus in Mersey Square. At this point board a No. 92 (Hazel Grove) bus and alight at Greek Street. Walk along this street and turn left into Shaw Heath and right into Booth Street.
