VISITS TO SHEDS AND WORKS
Before visits may be made to locomotive sheds and works, written approval must be obtained from the appropriate office of British Railways. Readers should also note that visits to certain sheds and works may be restricted to certain days of the week, and to particular times on those days.
In some cases, permission to visit a shed may be granted only to organised parties.
